How eNPS is calculated
Employees answer on a 0–10 scale. Promoters score 9–10, passives 7–8, detractors 0–6.
eNPS = % promoters − % detractors, from −100 to +100.
Use the 0–10 scale, not a 1–5 one. Some HR tools use five points and the resulting numbers are not comparable to anyone's benchmark.

What is a good eNPS?
Below 0 means more detractors than promoters and needs attention. 0–10 is common and unremarkable, 10–30 is good, 30–50 is strong, and above 50 is rare. Trend matters more than the absolute number.
Our team is 12 people — is eNPS meaningful?
Barely. At that size the confidence interval swamps the score, and anonymity is hard to preserve. Run it if you want a conversation starter, but don't report a number to the board.
What is a good eNPS?
eNPS runs lower than customer NPS because employees are harder graders. Above 0 is acceptable, 10–30 is good, above 30 is strong, and above 50 is rare. A single team of twelve cannot produce a reliable score at all — the confidence interval shown above is the honest version of the number.
How is eNPS calculated differently from NPS?
It isn't. Same 0–10 question, same promoter (9–10), passive (7–8) and detractor (0–6) bands, same % promoters minus % detractors. Only the question changes: recommending the company as a place to work rather than as something to buy.
How often should we run eNPS?
Quarterly is the usual cadence — often enough to catch a change, rare enough that people still answer. Keep the wording identical between waves and always show the response count next to the score, because a 10-point swing on 20 responses is noise.
