The Webflow forms alternative guide for 2026 (after Logic)

If you are looking for a Webflow forms alternative, it is usually because a form outgrew the Form block: you need a question that appears only for some visitors, a form split into steps, or file uploads on a plan that doesn't include them. Webflow Logic used to cover part of that, and it has been switched off. This guide sets out what native Webflow forms can and can't do on each plan, what the Logic sunset changed, how six embeddable builders compare, and how to move a live form without losing submissions or tracking.

Short answer

Native Webflow forms are fine for simple contact and newsletter forms, and every paid Site plan includes unlimited submissions. They have no built-in conditional logic, no multi-step flow and no calculations, and file upload needs the Premium Site plan. Webflow Logic was disabled on all sites on 27 June 2025. For branching or multi-step forms, the practical route is an external form builder embedded with Webflow's Code Embed element.

  • Free Starter site: 50 form submissions in total, and the counter never resets.
  • Basic ($15/mo billed yearly): unlimited submissions, no file upload.
  • Premium ($25/mo billed yearly): adds file upload, one file of up to 10 MB per upload button.
  • Free embeddable options with logic: Tally (unlimited within fair use), Fillout (1,000/month), Zunoform (500/month).

What can native Webflow forms do in 2026?

Webflow's Form block gives you text inputs, text areas, checkboxes, radio buttons, a select dropdown, a reCAPTCHA element and a submit button, all styled with the same Designer controls as the rest of your site. Submissions land in Site settings > Forms, you can customize notification emails per form, and you can export everything as CSV. You can also redirect visitors after submitting.

Spam protection is a real strength. Webflow supports reCAPTCHA, a honeypot technique, and a site-level Cloudflare Turnstile setting that offers both bot blocking and spam filtering, with flagged submissions routed to a separate spam inbox. Few form builders give you that much control on a basic plan.

What the Form block does not have is behaviour. There is no rule that shows question 5 only when question 2 is "Yes", no step-by-step layout, no scoring, no calculated totals and no payment field. Webflow's own help center now points to AI code components, generated React components, as the way to build "multi-step forms" inside Webflow, which tells you the Form block itself isn't getting those features.

What happened to Webflow Logic?

Webflow Logic was the native automation tool that could take a form submission and do something with it: send it to another app, branch on a value, update CMS items. Sites could still enable Logic until 31 January 2025, and Webflow sunset it on 27 June 2025. Since then Logic is disabled on every site, existing flows no longer run, and any form that was connected to a Logic flow has been converted back to a standard Webflow form.

The practical effect: if a form on your site used to push leads to a CRM or a spreadsheet through Logic, that step silently stopped. The form still collects submissions in Webflow, but nothing downstream happens. Webflow's recommendation is to rebuild the flows in Zapier or Make, both of which offered migration discounts to former Logic users.

Logic never added conditional questions to the form itself, so the sunset didn't remove that. It did remove the one native way to branch after a submission, which is why many sites now move the whole form to a builder that handles both the questions and the routing.

How do you add conditional logic or multi-step to a Webflow form?

There are three realistic routes. They trade styling control against maintenance.

1. Script libraries on top of the Webflow form

Tools such as Formly and Inputflow, and the open-source Advanced Webflow Forms project, add multi-step and show-hide logic to a native Form block through custom attributes and a script. You keep Webflow's styling, spam protection and submission storage. The cost is setup time, a script you depend on, and logic that lives in attributes scattered across the Designer, which is hard for the next person to follow.

2. An AI code component

Webflow's AI Assistant can generate a React code component for a multi-step form. That gives you something that looks native, but it is code: someone has to read it, test the edge cases and wire its submissions somewhere. It suits teams with a developer, not a marketer who needs to change a question on Friday afternoon.

3. An embedded form builder

Build the form in a dedicated tool and embed it with the Code Embed element. Logic, steps, file uploads, integrations and response storage all happen in that tool, and you edit the form without republishing the site. The trade-offs are that the form is styled with the builder's theme settings rather than Webflow classes, submissions live outside Webflow, and each builder has its own response limits. For most forms with more than one path through them, this is the least fragile option.

Which Webflow forms alternatives are worth comparing?

Six builders that embed in Webflow, checked on each vendor's pricing page on 28 September 2026. "Cheapest paid" is the monthly-billed price unless noted.

Which one fits which Webflow site?

Tally is the obvious pick if volume is the constraint: unlimited submissions on free, logic and file uploads included, and a dedicated Webflow landing page with embed instructions. Its free forms carry Tally branding. Fillout is close behind with 1,000 responses a month on free and a larger 20 MB file limit.

Typeform is the most polished one-question-at-a-time experience and has the largest integration catalog, but the free plan's 10 responses a month is a test allowance, not a production plan. Jotform has the widest feature set and payment gateways, with a tight free tier (5 forms, 100 submissions). Heyflow is built for paid-traffic funnels, with A/B testing and tracking on higher plans, and is priced for teams where each lead is worth a lot.

Zunoform sits between them: 500 responses a month on free, the same questions available in three layouts (conversational, single page, or a document-style page), and an embed script with inline, popup, slider and side-tab modes.

How to embed an external form in Webflow

The same steps apply to any of the builders above. The Code Embed element needs a paid Site plan, or a Core, Growth, Agency or Freelancer Workspace.

01

Publish the form in your builder

Finish and publish the form first, then open its share or embed panel and copy the embed snippet. Prefer the JavaScript embed if one is offered: it usually handles sizing and URL parameters better than a bare iframe.

02

Add a Code Embed element

In the Webflow Designer, open the Add panel, drag a Code Embed element where the form should sit, paste the snippet and save. Scripts don't run on the canvas, so you'll see a placeholder until you publish.

03

Give it a height

Embeds don't always size themselves. Set a height on the container that fits the longest step on mobile (Zunoform's snippet defaults to 700px), then check the tablet and phone breakpoints.

04

For a popup or side tab, use site-wide custom code

Put the builder's script once in Site settings > Custom code (before the closing body tag) and add the trigger button markup where you need it. This avoids loading the script twice on pages with several forms.

05

Publish and submit a real test

Publish to your staging webflow.io domain, submit the form on desktop and phone, and confirm the response, the notification email and any integration all arrived. Only then publish to the custom domain.

Will UTM parameters still reach the form?

Only if the embed passes them on. A plain iframe loads the form's own URL, so it cannot see the query string on your Webflow page, and a visitor who arrived with utm_source=linkedin is recorded without it. Either add the parameters to the iframe src yourself or use a script embed that forwards them.

Zunoform's embed.js forwards the host page's query string onto the form automatically. Parameters you set on the embed with data-params win over forwarded ones, data-forward-params="false" turns forwarding off, and Zunoform's own zf_ parameters are never forwarded. Declare the names you care about under Settings > Hidden fields and they appear in the response view, the CSV export, webhooks and Google Sheets columns. Our free UTM builder at /tools/utm-builder will generate tagged links for testing.

Migration checklist: moving a live form off Webflow

Work through this before you delete the old Form block.

When should you keep the native Webflow form?

Plenty of Webflow forms don't need replacing. A contact form, a newsletter sign-up or a simple quote request with five fields is better native: it inherits your site's typography, it loads no third-party script, it has Turnstile and honeypot spam protection, and on any paid Site plan it has no submission cap. An external builder adds a second tool, a second place where data lives and, on most free plans, someone else's branding.

Move a form out when it needs something the Form block can't do: branching questions, several steps, scoring, payments, file uploads on a Basic plan, or routing to apps that used to depend on Logic.

Where Zunoform fits (and where it doesn't)

Zunoform is a reasonable Webflow forms alternative when the form needs logic and you want to keep the embed simple. Conditional logic, hidden fields, answer piping, redirect after submit and partial responses are on every plan, including Free with 500 responses a month. The embed script covers inline, popup, slider and side-tab placements and forwards UTM parameters. Pro ($14.99/mo) adds 5,000 responses, removes branding, and unlocks Stripe or PayPal payments with your own keys, plus the Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Airtable and Excel integrations.

It is not the right pick if you need unlimited free submissions (Tally and Fillout are more generous), built-in reCAPTCHA-style spam protection (Zunoform has none, while Webflow's native forms do), or a form styled with your Webflow classes. Custom domains for forms are Business-only.

Questions people ask

Does Webflow have conditional logic for forms?

No. The native Form block has no show-hide rules, branching or calculated fields on any Site plan. You can add logic with a script library such as Formly or Inputflow, generate a code component with Webflow's AI Assistant, or embed a form builder that has logic built in, such as Tally, Fillout, Typeform, Jotform or Zunoform.

Can you make a multi-step form in Webflow?

Not with the Form block alone. Webflow suggests AI code components for multi-step forms, and script libraries can split a native form into steps with custom attributes. The simplest option for most teams is an embedded builder with a step or one-question-at-a-time layout, which also handles progress, validation and partial responses.

Is Webflow Logic still available?

No. Webflow sunset Logic on 27 June 2025. It is disabled on all sites, existing flows no longer run, and forms that were connected to Logic flows became standard Webflow forms. Webflow recommends rebuilding those automations in Zapier or Make, or connecting your form builder's own integrations directly.

How many form submissions does Webflow allow?

Sites on the free Starter plan are limited to 50 form submissions in total, and Webflow says that limit doesn't reset. After 50, new submissions are not collected. Every paid Site plan, from Basic at $15 a month billed yearly, has unlimited form submissions.

Which Webflow plan includes form file upload?

File upload needs the Premium Site plan ($25 a month billed yearly), a legacy Business plan, or Ecommerce Plus or Advanced. Each upload button takes one file of up to 10 MB, and a form can have up to 20 buttons. On Basic, an embedded builder with a file question is the usual workaround.

Why is my Webflow form not sending email?

Check that Email Notifications is set up under the form's Send to settings with the right recipients, then republish. On Starter you may have hit the 50-submission cap, and recipients must be Workspace members. A custom form action URL bypasses Webflow processing, so no notification is sent. Webflow also recommends name-based rather than role-based addresses.

What is the best free Webflow forms alternative?

If free volume matters most, Tally offers unlimited submissions within fair use, with logic and file uploads. Fillout's free plan allows 1,000 responses a month. Zunoform's free plan allows 500 a month with three layouts and conditional logic. Typeform's free plan is limited to 10 responses a month, so treat it as a trial.
