Zunoform vs Formstack,
without the spin
We make Zunoform, so you know which way we lean. What we can promise: every Formstack number below came off their own pricing page on the date shown, and the section about where they beat us is real.
The short version
These are not the same product and the price gap says so: Formstack starts at $83 a month billed annually, roughly five times our $14.99 Pro plan. What you get for it is a document and e-signature workflow — form in, generated document out, signature collected — plus a dedicated Salesforce line. If that is the job, we do not do it and no amount of price comparison changes that. If the job is collecting responses on a well-designed form, Formstack asks $996 a year for something that has no free tier, one builder user on the entry plan, and a pricing page that does not tell you whether conditional logic is included.

Where Formstack wins
Leaving this out would make the rest of the page worthless.
- Formstack is not really selling a form builder, and comparing it to one undersells it. The Suite plan bundles form to generated document to collected e-signature as a single workflow. If your process ends in a signed PDF rather than a row in a spreadsheet, that is a category we do not compete in at all.
- Unlimited e-signatures on Suite. Zunoform has an e-signature question type on the Pro plan, but it captures a signature as part of a response — it does not generate a document, route it, or produce a countersigned copy. Those are different products and we would rather say so.
- Submissions are counted per form rather than per account. A hundred quiet forms do not compete for one shared monthly pool the way they do on our plans, where 5,000 responses a month is 5,000 across everything you run.
- Salesforce is a first-class product line with its own solution tier and its own pricing conversation. Zunoform reaches Salesforce only through a Zapier catch hook, which is a webhook and a mapping screen, not an integration.
Pick Formstack if: your workflow ends in a generated, signed document rather than a submission, you are standardizing on Salesforce, and a four-figure annual contract is normal for your team.
Where Formstack frustrates people
- There is no free plan. Fourteen days, then you pay. Every other product we compare against — including Zunoform at 500 responses a month — has a permanent free tier, and for a lot of people that alone ends the evaluation.
- The entry price is $83 a month billed annually, $99 month-to-month. That is $996 a year for the cheapest way in, against $179.88 for our Pro plan and $299.88 for Business.
- The Forms plan gives you one builder user. Collaboration starts at Suite, which is $250 a month billed annually. Zunoform includes 3 seats at $14.99 and 10 at $24.99.
- The pricing page does not say whether payments, conditional logic or a custom domain are included at either published tier. We checked on 2026-08-14: the comparison table covers forms, submissions, users, storage and document deliveries, and stops there. You are asked to commit around $996 a year without those answered on the page.
- 25 forms on the entry plan. Zunoform's free plan is unlimited forms.
Where Zunoform is the better pick
People leave Formstack over the shape of the bill rather than the software. There is no free plan to fall back to, the entry tier is one seat, and the second seat costs $250 a month. Teams that bought it for the document workflow and then discovered they mostly needed a good-looking form are the ones who go looking. If you genuinely use the e-signature and document generation, none of the alternatives below replace it — including us.
Zunoform vs Formstack FAQ
Does Formstack have a free plan?
No. Formstack offers a 14-day free trial of its core Forms product with no card required, and after that you choose a paid plan. The cheapest is the Forms plan at $83 a month billed annually, or $99 month-to-month. Zunoform's free plan is permanent: unlimited forms, 500 responses a month, 1 seat, no card.
How much does Formstack cost?
Two published tiers in USD as of 2026-08-14. Forms is $83 per month billed annually or $99 month-to-month, and includes 25 forms, 1,000 submissions per form, 1 builder user and 2GB. Suite is $250 per month billed annually or $299 month-to-month, and includes 100 forms, 5,000 submissions per form, 3 builder users, 10GB, 250 document deliveries a month and unlimited e-signatures. Salesforce and Enterprise solutions are quote-only.
What does "submissions per form" mean?
Formstack counts submissions against each individual form rather than pooling them across your account. On the Forms plan every one of your 25 forms gets its own 1,000 submissions. This is unusual and it favours teams running many low-traffic forms — Zunoform pools responses, so our 5,000 a month on Pro is 5,000 across everything you run.
Formstack or Zunoform?
Formstack if the form is the front end of a document workflow that ends in a generated, signed PDF, or if you are building inside Salesforce. Zunoform if you want a conversational form people finish, with conditional logic and a meeting scheduler on the free plan, payments through your own Stripe or PayPal account at $14.99, and a custom domain at $24.99.
