Zunoform vs SurveyMonkey,
without the spin
We make Zunoform, so you know which way we lean. What we can promise: every SurveyMonkey number below came off their own pricing page on the date shown, and the section about where they beat us is real.
The short version
These two products are aimed at different jobs. SurveyMonkey is a research instrument with analysis tooling we do not attempt to match, and its export and integration breadth on free are real. What it is not is a cheap, honest place to run a form: the free plan caps you at 10 questions, marks skip logic as limited, and hides its response number until after you sign up, then deletes what you collect beyond it. Zunoform is 500 responses a month with logic included, $14.99 to remove branding and take payments through your own Stripe or PayPal, and a meeting scheduler inside the form.
Side by side
| SurveyMonkey | Zunoform | |
|---|---|---|
| Free responses / month | A per-survey cap SurveyMonkey does not publish — responses past the cap are not viewable and are deleted a year after collection | 500 responses/month, unlimited forms |
| Cheapest paid plan | ₹899/mo (INR) monthly → 1,000/month | $14.99/mo → 5,000/month |
| Remove branding | Paid — "Remove SurveyMonkey footer" is not on Basic | $14.99/mo |
| Payments in forms | Listed as "Limited" on Basic; terms not published on the pricing page | Your own Stripe/PayPal keys — no platform cut |
| Conditional logic | "Skip logic for questions and pages" is listed as Limited on Basic | Included on every plan, free included |
| Meeting scheduler | None — no booking question type | Native, with calendar sync |
| Custom domain | Not on the individual ladder — Basic gets a custom URL ending, not a domain | $24.99/mo |
| Form style | Paged survey, one page or several | Conversational, single-page, or document |
| Import your existing forms | Importers for Typeform, Google Forms & Jotform |

Where SurveyMonkey wins
Leaving this out would make the rest of the page worthless.
- The analysis side is a different class of product from ours. Paid plans include SurveyMonkey's AI Analysis Suite, custom charts and reports, filtering and crosstabs. Zunoform gives you a response table, per-question summaries, and a CSV export — nothing on our side competes with a crosstab, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
- Exporting results is on the free plan. Basic lists "Print or export results as CSV, XLS, PPT, or PDF," which is more generous than most free tiers and more than some paid competitors allow.
- Integration breadth is far ahead of ours. Their comparison table cites 200+ native integrations plus 7,000+ through Zapier. We ship 16 native integrations and a Zapier catch-hook.
- If procurement requires SSO, a SOC 2 report, or a signed HIPAA BAA, SurveyMonkey has an Enterprise tier to sell you. Zunoform has none of those — no SSO, no SOC 2, no BAA — and for a regulated buyer that ends the conversation before design or price comes up.
Pick SurveyMonkey if: you are running market research rather than collecting form submissions, the analysis tooling and crosstabs are the point, and someone in your organization already pays for a seat.
Where SurveyMonkey frustrates people
- The free plan's response limit is not published anywhere. SurveyMonkey's help center says you can view "a set number of responses per survey" and that your limit is visible once you sign up. You cannot compare the free plan to anything before creating an account.
- Responses collected over that hidden cap are not viewable and are deleted — automatically, one year after they were collected, per their own billing documentation. People answered your survey and you never got to read it.
- Basic caps you at 10 questions per survey, and every question type counts toward it, including text and image blocks used for instructions.
- Skip logic is marked "Limited" on Basic. Conditional logic is the feature most people assume a form builder has for free; here it is a reason to upgrade. Zunoform includes conditional logic on every plan, free included.
- Pricing is per-response and region-dependent. The ladder we were served quoted ₹5.00 for each response over the plan allowance, and the two larger individual plans are sold annual-only, so there is no small monthly step above ₹899.
Where Zunoform is the better pick
Most people who leave SurveyMonkey are not leaving over analysis features they never used. They hit the 10-question ceiling on Basic, or discovered that responses past an unpublished cap had been sitting there unviewable, or wanted branching logic without a subscription. If crosstabs and a statistically literate reporting layer are what you actually need, none of the alternatives below — including us — will replace it.
Zunoform vs SurveyMonkey FAQ
How many responses does the free SurveyMonkey plan allow?
SurveyMonkey does not publish the number. Their help center states that Basic lets you view a set number of responses per survey and that your limit is shown when you sign up or log in. Their billing documentation adds that responses over the survey's limit are not viewable and will be deleted, and that responses over your account limit are automatically deleted one year after they were collected.
Why does this page show SurveyMonkey prices in rupees?
Because that is what their pricing page served us. SurveyMonkey's plan ladder resolves by region, and every request we made — including one with a currency parameter — returned the India tiers in INR. Rather than convert or copy a figure from a third-party blog, we publish what we verified and name the region. Check surveymonkey.com/pricing from your own location for your local prices.
Does the free SurveyMonkey plan include conditional logic?
Only in limited form. Their individual plan comparison lists "Skip logic for questions and pages" as Limited on Basic, with the full feature on paid plans. Zunoform includes conditional logic on every plan including free, along with quiz scoring and file uploads.
SurveyMonkey or Zunoform for a customer survey?
If you need crosstabs, statistical filtering, and a reporting layer to hand to a research team, SurveyMonkey. If you need a form people finish — one question at a time, with logic, a booking field, and payments through your own Stripe account — Zunoform, at 500 responses a month free and $14.99 for 5,000.
Can I move my SurveyMonkey surveys to Zunoform?
Not automatically. Zunoform ships importers for Typeform, Google Forms, and Jotform, but not for SurveyMonkey. With Basic capped at 10 questions per survey, rebuilding from one of our 133 templates is usually quicker than any import would be.
