Survey Response Rate Calculator
Enter how many invitations you sent and how many people responded. Partial responses are tracked separately, because counting them as completions flatters the number.

Completed response rate.
How response rate is calculated
Response rate = completed responses ÷ invitations sent × 100.
Partial responses — people who started and abandoned — are shown separately. A large gap between the two figures means your survey is being opened and then abandoned, which is a length or question problem rather than a distribution problem.
Questions people ask
What is a good survey response rate?
It depends heavily on the relationship. Internal employee surveys often reach 60–80%; a cold external list may be under 5%. Compare against your own previous sends rather than a published benchmark.
How do I improve it?
Shorten the survey, say honestly how long it takes, send from a recognisable sender, and ask close to the event you're asking about. Length is usually the biggest single factor.
