Brand Partnership Inquiry template
Inbound partnership pitches arrive as three-line emails that take three replies to evaluate. This form gets you to a decision in one: partnership type, the actual proposal, audience, reach, channels involved, and whether money is attached — with the budget-range question appearing only when the sender says they have budget. Thirteen steps that filter mass-mailed pitches without deterring real ones.

When to use this template
- A brand receiving regular co-marketing and sponsorship pitches through a partnerships@ inbox nobody triages
- Newsletter and podcast operators fielding sponsorship inquiries, where reach and budget decide everything
- Consumer brands evaluating product collaborations, using the channels question to see what a partner would actually promote through
- Event organizers taking sponsor and partner proposals in the run-up to a conference
Tips to get more from it
- The budget question comes before the amount, and the range question only appears for senders who have budget. Asking "is there budget?" first gets honest answers that a bare range question does not.
- "We'd be asking you to fund it" is a real option on purpose. Naming it plainly saves both sides two emails of polite circling.
- The reach question asks for a real number, not a ceiling — the helper text says so. Compare it against the channels checklist, since claiming every channel with modest reach is the classic pattern of a mass-sent pitch.
- The open proposal question asks what each side contributes and gets. Pitches that can't answer that in a paragraph rarely improve on a call.
Questions people ask
What should a brand partnership form ask?
Who's asking, what they're proposing, their audience and reach, which channels are involved, and whether budget exists. This template's thirteen steps cover all of it.
How do I filter out low-quality partnership pitches?
Require a website, a written proposal, and a reach figure. Mass-sent pitches rarely complete all three, and the ones that do are worth reading.
Can I use this for sponsorship requests too?
Yes — sponsorship is one of the partnership types, and the budget and reach questions are exactly what a sponsorship decision turns on. Rename the options to match how your team categorizes deals.
