Free AI form generator: the honest answer (ours isn't free)

No. AI generation is a Business-plan feature at $24.99 a month ($249.99 a year). Our server checks the plan before it calls the AI model, so a Free or Pro account cannot run a generation. The only way to try it without paying is the Business plan's 7-day trial, which requires a card.

The reason is simple: each generation is a paid call to Google's Gemini model, and we chose to put that cost on the plan that also carries 25,000 responses, 10 seats, a custom domain and the REST API, rather than on everyone. You can reasonably prefer a vendor that gives AI away, and the table above lists them.

This is the limit that bites. A generated form on Typeform's free plan stops accepting answers after 10 responses in a month; Jotform's Starter plan stops at 100 submissions; a free personal Microsoft account caps each form at 200. If the form is going to a mailing list or a website, work out how many responses you expect before choosing the tool.

Jotform's free plan allows 5 forms. Most free plans show the vendor's branding. And AI may happily generate a question type, such as a payment or signature field, that your plan cannot publish, so check the free feature list against what the draft contains.

Many pages ranking for this search generate a list of questions without an account. That text is free, but it is not a form: you still need somewhere to host it and collect responses. Treat these as question writers, which is fine, and pair them with a free form builder.

Not with Google's built-in Gemini feature. Google lists Help me create a form for eligible Google Workspace editions (Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise, education add-ons) and Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. A free personal Google account is not on that list.

There are two free workarounds. One is a third-party add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace; many have free tiers, but they ask for access to your forms and Drive, so read the permissions and the pricing page before installing. The other needs no add-on at all: ask a free chatbot to write the questions, then type or paste them into Google Forms. The steps below work the same way for any free form builder.
